Ajalon
Biography
Ajalon is a progressive rock trio from Seattle Washington. Their music is on the more melodic side of the prog-rock spectrum. If you think you’d like solid, song-oriented melodic rock, played with occasional nods to Marillion, Yes, Genesis, & The Moody Blues - then you should be in quite comfortable territory here. Ajalon began in 1994 to create the music that they were passionate about. With their first CD release coming just 2 years later, through the efforts of Yes keyboard legend, Rick Wakeman, Ajalon proved that they had the talent to secure rotational airplay on over 50 radio stations in the UK alone becoming album of the week on all five major networks. Many positive reviews and magazine write ups followed. Wakeman also appears as a guest soloist on their second CD along with Phil Keaggy and Neal Morse. Ajalon continues to be on the forefront of modern progressive rock music. Band members have appeared individually on other artist recordings with such notables as Steve Hackett, Adrian Belew, Paul Gilbert, Neal Morse, Mike Portnoy, Phil Keaggy and Michael Manring just name a few. Ajalon was featured in the February/March issue of Classic Rock Society with cover exposure. Randy George was also featured in the winter 2009 issue of Progression Magazine. Reviews have appeared in other major magazines as well as numerous websites. Ajalon will be performing live at the 2010 Rite Of Spring festival being held in Gettysburg PA on May 1st and 2nd.
